How dividends work?

Staking OMEN token in the OMEN portal (USDC,WMATIC or WETH for now) or single stakes results in dividends being dripped out (that is received on a rolling basis). Dividends are funded from the community wallet which is funded from the following places:

1. 40% of all fees from swaps that occur on the platform
2. Performance fees from vaults and infusions.
   1. Infusions with performance fees, 25% is put into the community wallet as USDC, 25% is put into the wallet as Omen buy-backs
3. Outside investment of funds from the community wallet. All of the returns gained from outside investment using funds in the community wallet, is put back into the community wallet.

Every Friday the team funds dividends based on the funds in the community wallet, and how much revenue has been generated by the community wallet. The goal of the team is to make dividends as sustainable as possible with all future products helping fund the community wallet. USDC weekly dividends drip

Augury is happy to announce a brand new “drip” style system for the weekly USDC dividends we have all come to know and love. The old dividends system, that was prone to manipulation, is out entirely and it has been replaced by a system that will not be open to manipulation! So, what is the “drip” system? Lets walk through it:

1. Every Friday the dividends contract will be funded, using a portion of the funds available in the community wallet. The dividends for each place Omen is staked (LP, single-staking, and vault) will be based on the amount of Omen staked in that pool at the time the contract is funded.
2. Then, over the course of the next week, the funds in the dividends contract will be distributed to Omen stakers each block they are staked. This means that you will receive a very small portion of your USDC dividends each block (i.e. the “drip), as long as you have Omen staked in one of the pools. If you unstake your Omen you will no longer receive your drip of dividends!
3. The following Friday, the contract is funded again and we go back to 1)!

With this new system you will collect dividends the same way you always have, by clicking the button on the front page and approving the transaction. Dividends can be collected anytime you want with the new distribution method, though they may be very small at first!

This means that the contract will be funded every Friday, and the “drip” distribution will start immediately. This also means that if you unstake all of your Omen, you will cease receiving the dividend drip! So, make sure you stake, and stay staked, in order to receive your full dividend!

How am I eligible for dividends**?**

You are eligible for dividends if you stake Omen in any of the LP portals, or in Omen single-staking. If you stake in the LP portals your Omen is given double the weight when it comes to dividends, to incentivize you to keep staking in LP. With that in mind please note, this means that when staking your LP only the OMEN amount is considered during dividend distribution.
